Who can be a St. Florian Choir Boy?
Friends of the St. Florian Boys’ Choir
The “Friends of the St. Florian Boys’ Choir” association was founded in 1996, on the 100th anniversary of the death of Anton Bruckner, with the aim of giving financial support to the monastery, in order to preserve the Boys’ Choir institute. When it took over sponsorship from the monastery one year later, the association was given overall economic responsibility for the Boys’ Choir. Many notable persons in our country belong to the Association Board, which has been chaired by Dr. Leo Windtner since its foundation.
As an association member you are invited to our annual summer concert, which is exclusively for association members and sponsors. Together, we will enjoy musical highlights in the Marble Hall, followed by a lavish buffet with summer drinks in the Garden Hall.
We will regularly keep you up to date with the activities of the Boys’ Choir. Our magazine, FLO, gives a fascinating overview of concerts, tours and events, as well as a glimpse behind the scenes of the traditional boys’ choir.
